Patent Attorney Valery Samtsov  studied physics, chemistry and mathematics at the Belarusian State University where he gained a Bsc. Having previously worked for the Scientific Institute of Heat and Mass Exchange of  the Belarusian Academy of Science and for the Scientific Laboratory of the Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy (BSPA) he gained valuable experience in building materials and building machinery and has 25 inventions in these fields.  His interests have now broadened to include construction engineering and industrial chemistry Patents. Qualified as a patent specialist in 1974 and as a Patent Attorney, in 1995, Reg. No 0040, Mr. Samtsov is involved in filing and prosecution of Patent Applications and in IPO appraising and has developed interests in non patentable objects protection. Hi has a 20-years experience of patent activity and 10-years experience of managing the small business ventures.

Membership: Mr. Samtsov is the Member of the Board of the Belarusian Association of Patent Attorneys and the fellow of the Belarusian Group of AIPPI

Patent Attorney Viatcheslav  TROFIMOV studied first linguistics at the Minsk State Institute of foreign languages where he gained in 1972 a Bsc. Then, qualified as a patent specialist, after graduation from the Moscow Patent Institute in 1975, he has worked 10 years as a patent councellor for the Central Scientific and Research Institute of Water Resources. Mr. Trofimov has 9 inventions in this field. Then he has worked 7 years for the Patent and License Department of the Belarusian State Polytechnic Academy (BSPA) in the international technology transfer branch. In 1989-1990 he has studied at the Würzburg University, West Germany, according the DAAD program, and then has given lectures and tutorials for BSPA students in the field of industrial property protection. 

Qualified as a Chartered Patent and Trademark Attorney of Belarus in 1997, Reg. No 0057, and as an IPO Appraiser in 2000, Mr. Trofimov is involved in the protecting of Trademarks and Designs in Belarus and overseas and in IPO appraising. Additionally, he is interested in Patent aspects of water-and civil engineering, food and feed processing technologies, mechanics and he has developed wide ranging interests in negotiation and drawing up of License Agreements and other aspects of the international technology transfer. In 2001 he graduated WIPO Academy IP courses.

He has more then a 20-years experience of patent and international technology transfer activity and a 10-years experience of managing the small business ventures.

Membership: Mr. Trofimov is the Member of the Board of the Belarusian Group of AIPPI and the fellow of the Belarusian Association of Patent Attorneys.
